At least 3 U.S. service members were killed over the weekend in Iraq and Jordan, where back-to-back Iranian attacks on a U.S. base seem to have evaded defenses.

The Pentagon said a service member was killed in northern Iraq on Saturday while troops disposed of an Iranian drone. It also said “unidentified remains” had been found in Jordan, where an earlier attack had left two soldiers dead and another missing.

The U.S. military reports two more service members have been killed in the conflict with Iran, bringing the total to 16.
